Director of Finance and Decision Support

We're Hiring: Director of Finance and Decision Support

Location: Plainfield, NJ

Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Salary Range: $100k-140k Annual

We are looking for a Director of Finance to join our dynamic team at Neighborhood Health Services Corporation (NHSC). This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while advancing your career in a supportive, community-focused organization.

What You’ll Do

As the Director of Finance, you will ensure financial accuracy and transparency, serving as a liaison between various clinical and non-clinical departments and our Board. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial statements
  • Work with the leadership team to develop, monitor, and enhance proformas
  • Maintain and organize financial records
  • Provide critical input to clinical and non-clinical leaders to enhance operations
  • Recommend cost-saving and revenue-enhancing strategies
  • Collaborate with special projects and initiatives
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • Ability to develop out-of-the-box solutions to challenges
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; nonprofit experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with accounting systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
