Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and support within a medical office environment. You will be responsible for managing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations in our office.
Duties
As a Patient Services Representative, your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting patients warmly and assisting them with their needs upon arrival.
  • Managing appointment scheduling and confirmations to optimize patient flow.
  • Handling incoming calls and addressing patient inquiries regarding services and procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Assisting with insurance verification and processing payments, co-pays and other billing related inquiries.
  • Collaborating with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
  • Utilizing medical terminology effectively to communicate with both patients and healthcare professionals.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and administrative support functions is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Proficiency in office software applications and electronic health record systems is a plus.
