The Record Center Specialist is responsible for receiving, processing, storing, retrieving, and shipping physical records and materials in a Records Center. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, physical strength, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process incoming, outgoing, and rush work orders.
- Scan and track cartons, files, tapes, containers, and storage locations.
- Retrieve and store files, containers, and tapes according to company deadlines.
- Investigate and report order or inventory discrepancies.
- Prepare orders, paperwork, and shipments accurately.
- Load and unload trucks and vans.
- Operate pick lifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Maintain organized storage racks, work areas, and equipment.
- Perform inventory audits and special projects.
- Follow all safety, security, and company procedures.
- Report accidents, injuries, customer concerns, and operational issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members and work overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of warehouse, records, logistics, or service industry experience preferred.
- Basic computer and scanning skills.
- Forklift and/or pick-lift experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Lift and move 20–50 pounds regularly.
- Handle approximately 100–400 containers per day.
- Perform frequent bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Climb stairs and safely operate material-handling equipment.
