Job Description
Title: MS/Tele Float Pool Nurse - Medical-Surgical / Telemetry
Schedule:
- Shift: Nights, 3 x 12-hr (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Weekend requirement: Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Assignment Details:
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
- Travel assignment experience required
- Valid nursing license in hand at the time of submission
- Current BCLS/BLS certification required
- Additional certifications: ACLS, CPI, NIHSS (verify if required)
- Experience with Epic EHR required
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
- Perform IV starts and care for peripheral, PICC, and central lines
- Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) and IV insulin protocols
- Provide non-invasive airway support and tracheostomy care
- Administer blood products and provide wound care, including Wound VAC
- Collaborate with various support teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Fingerprinting required as per state regulations
- Two shifts of pre-approved time off allowed per contract
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
