The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Location: Mercy Hospital St. Louis
Schedule: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Rotating Weekends & Holidays
Training: Day shift training for the first 6-8 weeks

What You'll Do:
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and alert clinical staff to changes
  • Review patient data to identify patterns and variances
  • Work closely with nurses and care teams to ensure patient safety
  • Be a calm, focused presence during overnight hours

What You'll Need:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Training: Completion of a monitor tech course or passing score (85%) on our competency exam
  • Certification: CRAT certification within 1 year of hire
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and quick decision-making under pressure
  • Experience: Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required-we'll train you!
