Registered Nurse - Med-Surg Oncology
Schedule
- Shift: 12-hour rotations, may include days, nights, or both depending on departmental needs
Assignment Details
- Start date: 6/1/2026
- Orientation: 72 hours
Requirements
- RN with minimum 2 years of recent RN experience
- Must meet experience requirements within the most recent 3 years; at least 1 year of current specialty experience required for clinical pass
- Epic charting experience required
- Valid compact or state license required
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics receiving oncology care
- Monitor patients and interpret telemetry rhythms, including dysrhythmias
- Administer chemotherapy and manage related patient care, ensuring proper monitoring
- Perform vascular access procedures including IV starts, central line management, and blood product administration
- Assist with tracheostomy care and PCA management as applicable
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care initiatives
Compliance / Notes
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Strict fingerprinting process with compliance deadline: candidates must complete fingerprints ASAP after signing, with a strict deadline of Tuesday prior to start
- References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be a manager/director or supervisor
