Job Title:Student Assistant 2 - Waterman, CommunicationsDepartment:FAES | Waterman Farm-JM

Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine and will require responsibility and good judgement. May coordinate activities for other student employees. Requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment. Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in student assistant role. Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.

Job Description:

Waterman Communications Student Assistant - Assist in performing communication and outreach efforts at Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory. Student assistants fill a necessary role for CFAES to deliver its research, extension, and teaching mission. Student assistants at this location will help with website edits, photography, social media, data entry, creating informational signage and flyers, leading tours, preparing for events and extension programs or teaching labs.

Can be either part time or full time. For the summer can be up to 38 hours a week, but more likely 20-30 hours a week. During the school year, 10-20 hours a week.

Start April or May 2026, with employment planned through end of Summer (August 2026). Can be extended through when the student graduates from undergraduate.
