Job description

Join a dynamic and creative team dedicated to transforming outdoor environments into innovative, functional, and visually compelling spaces. As a Landscape Architect, you will play a key role in designing and delivering projects that balance artistic vision with technical expertise. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with talented professionals, engage directly with clients, and contribute to projects from concept through construction. The ideal candidate is passionate about landscape architecture, values continuous learning, and thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling landscape designs for a variety of outdoor spaces.
  • Conduct thorough site analysis, including measurements, grading, environmental factors, and identification of opportunities and constraints.
  • Prepare detailed construction documents using AutoCAD, including grading, drainage, hardscape, and planting plans.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local zoning codes, building regulations, stormwater requirements, ADA standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Utilize property surveys, mapping tools, GIS data, and municipal records to ensure design accuracy and effective site planning.
  • Oversee permit submission packages and coordinate with municipalities throughout the approval process.
  • Engage with clients to understand project vision, goals, constraints, and budgets, and present design concepts and alternatives.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams, project managers, contractors, and other design professionals to ensure project success.
  • Provide construction-phase support, including site visits, verifying installation quality, and resolving field issues.
  • Prepare material takeoffs and provide value engineering recommendations as needed.
  • Stay current on plant materials, construction techniques, sustainability practices, and industry trends.
  • Participate in professional development activities, including trade shows, continuing education, and networking events.
  • Mentor and support other designers and team members within the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in landscape design or architecture.
  • State Architecture License or in the process of obtaining one.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technically sound design work.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D modeling, Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with LMN software for project estimation and planning is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of hardscape and softscape materials, horticulture, grading, and drainage techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and client engagement abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
