Job description

Operations Coordinator

Full-time, salaried position Monday through Friday Starting salary: $50,000 to $55,000 annually, based on experience

This is a fully on-site position at GoodBuy Gear's warehouse in Commercial Point, Ohio. The Operations Coordinator is expected to work in the warehouse each workday and collaborate directly with the operations team. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

The Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of GoodBuy Gear's warehouse operations by managing reporting, documentation, scheduling, inventory data, and operational communications. This role helps ensure information flows accurately between internal teams, customers, carriers, and business partners while supporting leadership with operational planning and administrative execution.

This person will work closely with warehouse leadership and team members to ensure information flows accurately between internal departments, customers, carriers, and business partners. Because this role supports the physical movement of inventory, it requires being present in the warehouse to understand what is happening, identify problems, and help the team resolve them.

Prior warehouse or logistics experience is helpful but not required. We are more interested in finding someone who is curious, organized, analytically minded, comfortable with technology, and eager to learn how a complex operation works. The right person can use spreadsheets confidently, learn new systems quickly, ask thoughtful questions, and turn information into action.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and distribute shipment documentation and operational reports
  • Maintain accurate records for inbound and outbound inventory movement
  • Process inventory and shipment data within company systems
  • Coordinate transportation appointments and delivery schedules
  • Communicate with external partners, carriers, and internal departments
  • Produce daily operational reports and inventory snapshots
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve documentation issues
  • Support inventory reconciliation and operational audits
  • Maintain accurate tracking spreadsheets and reporting tools
  • Learn and effectively use GoodBuy Gear's warehouse, inventory, and reporting technology
  • Assist leadership with process improvements and reporting automation
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative workflows and operational efficiency
  • Support for warehouse operations and special projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand how systems and processes work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence working with data, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets
  • Comfortable learning new software systems
  • Experience in logistics, warehouse operations, transportation, inventory management or a similar operational environment is helpful, but not required
  • Comfortable learning and using new software, operational systems, and technology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and produce accurate work
  • Embodies GoodBuy Gear's company values
