The Engineering Manager serves as a senior technology leader responsible for aligning global technology strategy with regional market needs across Canada and Mexico. This role leads software engineering teams, drives technology modernization, improves software quality and operational excellence, and partners with business and technology stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions. The position focuses on engineering leadership, software delivery, platform modernization, quality, security, technical governance, and organizational transformation while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
Technology Strategy
  • Design, develop, and deliver software solutions using appropriate technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Continuously improve platform performance and development efficiency.
  • Partner with architecture teams to ensure compliance with global technology standards.
  • Audit application portfolios to eliminate duplication and improve efficiency.
  • Drive legacy transformation initiatives aligned with global technology lifecycle strategies.
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and provide technical direction to software engineering teams across Canada and Mexico.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing engineering talent.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support regional managers in achieving market objectives through technology leadership.
  • Report technology and quality initiatives to the Engineering Director.

Qualifications
You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field OR a combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in software design, programming, design patterns, and Java-based development.
    • Experience developing testable software features and conducting effective code reviews.
  • 4+ years of experience leading Agile software development teams and delivering enterprise-scale products.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • 4+ years of experience in software operations, including CI/CD, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), observability, application support, and maintenance.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical planning and solution architecture.

This position is a range of salary grade LL6 $132,800 - $250,800
SOUTHEAST MI RESIDENTS: This role is posted as remote unless you reside within 50 miles of Dearborn, MI-in which case we request on-site presence up to 4 days a week.
