The College of Engineering's Department of Materials Science and Engineering is seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar to work under the supervision of Dr. Jinghua Li. The Post Doctoral Scholar will focus on the design, development, and integration of human-machine interfaces and advanced circuit systems for next-generation bioelectronic platforms. This includes flexible and wearable devices, multimodal sensing interfaces, and embedded electronics for real-time signal processing and interaction.
Areas of interest include:
Human-machine interfaces for wearable and biointegrated systems; Analog and digital circuit design for biosignal acquisition and processing; Low-power and embedded system design for real-time applications; Signal conditioning, amplification, and noise reduction for physiological data; Integration of sensing, computation, and feedback for interactive systems; Applications in healthcare, virtual/augmented reality, and human-machine interaction
Required Education:
PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or related field
Desired Education:
PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or related field
Required Experience:
Demonstrated expertise in bioelectronics, materials science, or a closely related field; Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications; Hands-on experience with device fabrication, characterization, and data analysis; Proven ability to design and execute independent research projects; Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Experience:
Experience with flexible or wearable electronic systems; Background in chemical or biological sensing; Familiarity with signal processing, embedded systems, or machine learning; Experience with hardware-software co-design and system integration; Prior experience mentoring undergraduate or graduate students
