KBR is seeking a Signal Processing Analyst to join our team in Lexington, MA. In this role, you would operate as part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the initial creation and development of signal processing algorithms to support implementation of an advanced communication system prototype. You will work with software and firmware developers to understand system constraints, evaluate algorithm performance, and provide implementation guidance.

Part of tasking will entail supporting technical exchange meetings, test planning, and providing technical reports to management and our customer. This position requires an active DoD Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of communication link and channel models in Matlab

  • Iterative design of signal processing algorithms to maximize performance under system constraints

  • Processing and analysis of test data captured in hardware tests

  • Troubleshooting of issues during integration and testing

Work Environment:

  • Location: On-site with the possibility of hybrid arrangement

  • Travel Requirements: Willing and able to travel (up to 25%, typically CONUS)

  • Working Hours: Standard

Required Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

  • 5 years applicable experience

  • Proficiency in Matlab

  • Understanding of digital modulation techniques and forward error correction coding implementation

  • Experience with signal processing algorithm implementation to support link establishment and closure

  • Good oral and communication skills with the ability to work well within a team environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

  • Familiarity with Python

  • Familiarity with modeling hardware impairments

  • Possess strong oral and written communications skills, and must be able to present findings/results to internal and external organizations

  • Outgoing and energetic personality

Basic Compensation:

For MA only, the salary range is approximately $121,100 - $181,600 USD annually. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
