Responsibilities
  • Lead Complex family law litigation from initial strategy session through resolution and trial
  • Serve as lead counsel in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Regularly appear in court and provide exceptional courtroom advocacy.
  • Develop and execute strategic litigation plans designed to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Draft, review, and oversee pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strategic analysis.
  • Effectively articulate complex legal concepts through exceptional verbal and written communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
  • Manage and maintain strong client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and exceptional advocacy
  • Mentor and develop junior and associate attorneys through guidance, feedback, and hands-on training
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff utilizing advanced technology and established systems to maximize efficiency and client service
  • Contribute to the continued growth, development, and success of the firm

Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio
  • Minimum of five (5) years of litigation experience required; family law experience preferred
  • Proven courtroom and trial advocacy skills
  • Strong legal writing, negotiation, and communication abilities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and excellence
  • Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and develop attorneys
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and committed to exceptional client service
