Position: Automation Test Engineer
Location: Columbus, Ohio (Remote till COVID)
Duration: 6+Months
Job Description
  • The Software Automation Testing Engineer (the "Engineer") will be responsible to create and execute automated regression tests using Katalon Studio.
  • During the setup of these tests, the Engineer should be able to create complex SQL queries to help in validation and enable dynamic data retrieval.
  • They will need to be able to create/modify any groovy scripts to allow for advanced screen validation. The Engineer will assist in training other OPERS team members in Katalon script creation.
  • During the Software Testing Life Cycle, a sampling of the required deliverables to be completed/maintained by the Engineer will include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Test Creation: Test Cases created in Katalon
  • Create complex SQL queries to enable dynamic data retrieval and validation
  • Develop Groovy scripting inside of Katalon as needed for advanced screen validation
  • Train OPERS team members in Katalon script creation Jenkins
  • Test Execution: Work with our DevOps team to set up and schedule the automated regression test execution using Jenkins.
  • The Engineer must have a stable work history that includes three (3) years of Test Automation experience with at least one (1) year experience creating and executing test cases with Katalon in a corporate environment.
  • The Engineer should be a self-starter, possess strong problem solving, test creation and SQL/Groovy script development skills.
  • Technical skills required are proficiency in MS Office and other Windows based applications.
