Senior Business Systems Analyst - Business Management Office (Technology)
Location: Columbus, OH or Dallas, TX | Onsite Monday-Thursday, Remote Fridays | Contract-to-Hire
About the Role
Join a high-impact Business Management Office supporting enterprise Technology at the Office of the CIO. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will drive financial and operational excellence using advanced analytics, reporting, and process automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence technology investment decisions and deliver actionable insights, positioning yourself for future career advancement as the BMO scales across all Technology verticals.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis initiatives focused on expense management, budgeting, and financial reporting for Technology
- Process and oversee day-to-day spend requests, purchase orders, and end-to-end approval workflows
- Design, build, and enhance Power BI and Tableau dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounts Payable, and Technology stakeholders to ensure budget alignment and financial integrity
- Query, validate, and analyze data from AWS environments; identify and troubleshoot anomalies in reporting
- Present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders, delivering clear business recommendations
- Guide junior team members, providing technical support and best practices for analytics delivery
- Facilitate meetings, deliver executive presentations, and influence senior management decisions
- Identify, create, and continuously improve scalable business processes and reporting methodologies
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables
Required Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of business analysis experience in Finance and Operations, ideally within financial services or technology
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Tableau for reporting and visualization
- Hands-on experience with AWS data environments and understanding of data architecture
- In-depth knowledge of FP&A, finance metrics, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Exceptional data storytelling and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to drive business outcomes through analytics and cross-functional collaboration
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting multiple Lines of Business, with a focus on Technology organizations
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and executive presence
- Proficiency with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
