Job description

The Shane Center for Therapeutic Horsemanship provides therapeutic horseback riding in the Central Ohio area. Founded in 1993 as Equine Assisted Therapy, and situated on 40 beautiful acres in Knox County, Equine Assisted Therapy, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for people who have disabilities by offering innovative equestrian activities. Our participants include children ages 4 and up and adults who have a variety of physical and cognitive disabilities. Some of the disabilities we serve include cerebral palsy, downs syndrome, spina bifida, autism spectrum disorders, multiple sclerosis, developmental delays, learning disabilities, mental retardation, ADD, ADHD, PDD, gross motor delays, hearing impairments, visual impairments, and speech impairments.
