Job description

Westerman, Inc., an employee-owned company, is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. Our equipment helps optimize well pad design, improve separation efficiency and lower overall equipment spend through high-performance surface separation and processing technology. Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide.
SUMMARY
The Project Manager has the responsibility of ensuring the company's projects are executed in a timely and profitable manner while maintaining customer satisfaction. Will provide guidance to the shops and engineering staff with respect to equipment design and fabrication requirements. Will work between cross-functional teams to execute specific tasks and timelines and provide high level insight and escalation to leadership. The successful candidate will be comfortable in a self-directed environment and should have a proven record of developing and leveraging strong working relationships to generate positive outcomes. Position reports to the General Manager or Operations Superintendent.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.
• Accountable for job costing and project profitability. Maintain a complete job file throughout the life of the project containing all job-related information, including customer correspondence, specifications, drawings, bill of materials, parts delivery and pick lists, quotations, change orders, cost estimates, inspection reports, delivery receipts, invoices and final job costing.
• Monitors assigned projects to ensure that they are within the agreed scope, schedule, and budget and that the work is being performed within outlined policies and expectations. Agree to and coordinate customer submitted ECNs, including but not limited to determining and submitting ECN price to the customer.
• Responsible for scheduling assigned projects based on quoted delivery, customer needs, and the workload in the shops. The schedule shall be reviewed weekly (production meeting).
• Review job material and requirements and direct the Commodity Manager(s) to obtain quotes when appropriate.
• Review and analyze delays in schedule and coordinate schedule changes needed to encompass unforeseen conditions.
• Responsible for tracking of the dates the material is required for every assigned project.
• Ensure work orders are compliant with the project's controlling documents, assist in the determination of work priority, and establish workflow processes that support work management and operational goals.
• Scheduling of all required drawings and completion dates with Engineering. Work closely with technical team during creation of associated drawings. Schedule to be reviewed weekly. Responsible for creating a drawing transmittal and project file that will be kept on file within each respective project's network folder structure.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty or responsibility satisfactorily. REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 3 years project management experience required
• Strong preference for oil and gas industry experience
• Registered Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
• Minimum 5 years Oil & Gas production experience preferred
• Knowledge of ASME, API, NFPA, AGA and other standards including welding procedures required
• Experience working within multidisciplinary matrixed teams and in managing work against safety, quality, budget, and time indicators
• Multi-tasking and ability to work well under pressure with multiple competing priorities in a matrixed organization
• Ability to comprehend project specifications and contract documents
• Ability to review and comprehend technical drawing packages including Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID's), General Arrangements, and fabrication drawing details
• Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels within the organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
• Hands on user knowledge of ERP systems in an engineered-to-order business model
• Travel as needed to support projects required
• Driving is an essential function of this position; clean driving record is required
