Responsibilities
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans targeting the right new customers and markets.
  • Generate qualified leads through prospecting, networking, and market research.
  • Prepare and present bids, proposals, and quotations.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts by identifying expansion opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Lead customer meetings to review needs, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure a high level of responsiveness and communication throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Drive long-term partnerships that result in repeat and project-based business.
  • Collaborate with Engineering & Production to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Provide initial technical guidance and ensure accurate transfer of information to internal teams.
  • Support customers through quoting, development, and early-stage production processes.
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and company capabilities.

Qualifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering is preferred; commensurate experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of Business Development, Sales and/or Account Management experience.
  • General Industrial industry experience is required with an understanding of stamping, fabrication, welding, assembly, cutting, or machining environments is ideal.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of financial metrics (margins, pricing, cost structures)
  • Experience preparing and presenting sales proposals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
