Essential Key Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Registered Nurse in State of Ohio and or Ohio Registered Nurse Licensure
  • Provides general nursing care to residents in a nursing facility.
  • Explains procedures and treatments to residents to gain cooperation, understanding, and to prevent apprehension.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
  • Prepares equipment and aids Physician during treatment and examination of residents while maintaining awareness of safety and comfort.
  • Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of resident.
  • Supervise the nursing practices in the facility directed toward restoring and maintaining the residents capabilities at maximum mental and physical level.
  • Observes residents, records significant conditions and reactions and notifies Physician or Supervisor of resident’s condition and reaction to medications, treatments and significant incidents after assessing the condition of the patient.
  • Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned residents
  • Use of Point, Click, Care for electronic documentation.
  • High level of organization, communication, and clinical skills needed to perform the job successfully in addition to demonstrating the required core competencies.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervises STNA's and unlicensed caregivers.
