Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a CVICU position in Ohio, requiring cardiac ICU experience and proficiency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring equipment.

Details
  • Position is in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at a dedicated heart hospital
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
  • Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period; night shift weekends are Friday/Saturday
  • Rotating holiday coverage required
  • Patient ratio is approximately 1:1–2
  • Required skills include IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz catheter (SWANZ), conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and PA lines
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity level
Requirements
  • Active OH RN license or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted
Additional Information
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • Former facility employees are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
  • Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after accepting the position — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
  • Multiple parking permit options are available for purchase on-site, ranging from convenient garage access to budget-friendly surface lot options with shuttle service to the medical center
