Safety Manager (OSHA 510 Required)
Location: Jeffersonville, OH
Contract Term (6month +)
Salary $100K+ DOE
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and promote workplace safety while ensuring compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations and company safety policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational safety, risk management, and safety program implementation, with OSHA 510 certification required.
This individual will work closely with site leadership, contractors, and employees to foster a proactive safety culture and maintain a safe working environment.
Job Description
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, federal, state, and local safety requirements.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee safety training.
  • Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, and regulatory documentation.
  • Monitor contractor safety compliance and ensure adherence to site safety requirements.
  • Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and risk assessments.
  • Recommend improvements to minimize workplace hazards and reduce incidents.
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and evacuation drills.
  • Collaborate with project managers, operations, and HR to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce company safety policies throughout the facility.

Qualifications
  • OSHA 510 Certification (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or Safety Management.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Risk Assessment, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Experience developing and delivering safety training programs.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 500 certification
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
  • CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician)
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, automotive, or construction environments.
  • Bilingual (English/Korean) is a plus but not required.
