Plant Operations General Manager
Own the full spectrum of plant operations with a clear mandate to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and retention. Lead people, process, and performance with an unwavering focus on standard work and continuous improvement.
Role focus
- Safety leadership and compliance across regulatory, environmental, and corporate requirements.
- End-to-end performance management for safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and employee retention.
- Lean-driven continuous improvement and data-centric problem solving to eliminate waste and raise efficiency.
- Standardize processes to create discipline, consistency, and accountability at every level.
- Workforce planning: staffing levels, succession pipelines, and talent development for all shifts.
- Frontline leadership coaching, mentoring, and engagement to elevate decision quality and team outcomes.
- Employee engagement strategies that support the company culture, reduce turnover, and sustain morale and productivity.
- Strategy deployment: convert corporate and regional direction into plant-level targets, using technology, data, and CI tools to move KPIs safely.
- Inventory control, materials management, and order-fulfillment accuracy that enable production goals and superior customer service.
- Operational budgeting: develop, manage, and flex plans as business and market conditions evolve.
- Cross-functional alignment with EHS, Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality on plans, schedules, and priorities.
- Clear, consistent performance communication to employees, peers, and leadership.
- Participation in regional and enterprise initiatives that strengthen manufacturing excellence and align with corporate priorities.
- Community engagement with local organizations, schools, and events to build the plant’s employer brand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or substantial manufacturing and management experience.
- 10+ years leading teams in a production environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal capability.
- Strong operational background with Lean knowledge.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communicator.
- Team player and leader with diverse groups.

Physical and travel requirements
