Job description

Job Title

Mount Carmel Health System Graduate Medical Education Department is seeking two full-time, dynamic and academically focused OB/GYN hospitalists to join our growing team in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description:

Provide in-house coverage as a full-time OB/GYN hospitalist across three hospital campuses (one site per day) Staff residents on Labor & Delivery (L&D), serving as in-house OB hospitalist Perform gynecologic surgeries, including hysterectomy, and manage clinic patients Manage medically complex, high-risk pregnancies and perform advanced obstetrical surgeries Supervise and teach residents during clinical care and didactic sessions Collaborate with Graduate Medical Education (GME) teams to enhance resident education and curricula Provide care in L&D units and emergency situations, ensuring quality, timely obstetrical care Work 12-hour shifts covering days and nights, including weekend rotations and holiday coverage in a scheduled rotation system Participate in system-wide OB hospitalist roles and contribute to continuous improvement of care delivery Engage with the community and support Mount Carmel's mission to provide excellent care, including to underserved populations

Not open to Locum and/or Locum to Perm candidates Not open to candidates who have lapsed Board Certification(s) and need to obtain them again Not open to 1099 candidates for this position Not open to visa candidates for this position Not open to candidates seeking alternate shift schedules Compensation and Benefits: Starting salary of $300,000 with a guaranteed 5% annual increase every year Sign-on bonus between $35,000 to $40,000 (negotiable) Comprehensive benefits starting from day 1 of employment Guaranteed paid time off (PTO) of 27 days (216 hours) annually, with ability to roll over up to 40 hours per year Holiday pay and a planned holiday rotation schedule for three years Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program Opportunity to work with a supportive academic team at a Level III NICU facility with a strong residency program affiliated with The Ohio State University Flexible scheduling with options to pick up additional shifts at increased hourly rates Benefits begin Day 1 Certification Requirements Board Certified Board Eligible State License Requirements Ohio Additional License Requirements No visa sponsorship (No J-1 or H-1B accepted), Must be eligible to work in the US without visa support
