Workplace Health Specialist RN - Casual Opportunity

Position Purpose:

The Workplace Health Specialist, functions as a liaison between Mount Carmel and area employers by offering a variety of Employer sponsored wellness programs designed to promote a healthy life style, programs may include, but are not limited to: preventive screenings, educational offerings, & workplace health events; prepares educational materials & on-site programming (content appropriate for discipline), staffs on-site events & participates in wellness programs as requested by employers; may function as an on-site event coordinator. The Workplace Health Specialist position must have a valid RN license to practice in the state of Ohio. Examples of programs include, but are not limited to: Wellness, Smoking Cessation, Work-Life Balance, Diabetes, Exercise, Heart Health, Body Mechanics, & Cancer Care.

**This position will work as needed ; primarily Monday - Friday mornings and early afternoons.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Active and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of Ohio
  • Minimum of 3 years in a clinical setting, previous experience in wellness, health prevention or related experience, preferred. Previous managerial experience preferred.
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Develops & maintains good interpersonal relationships with employers, employees & other community representatives.
  • Demonstrates a level of maturity that enables a positive & effective handling of all situations.
  • Demonstrates an ability to work independently & handle multiple tasks.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor & appearance.
  • Ability to work early morning or later evenings as required by employer contracts

This is a Casual / PRN (no benefits) position.
