We are seeking an experienced and driven Traveling Director of Nursing (DON) to support and strengthen our facilities statewide.

Position Summary:
The Traveling Director of Nursing (RN) will play a critical leadership role across multiple skilled nursing facilities throughout Ohio. This individual will step in as acting DON when needed, provide operational and clinical guidance, and mentor nursing staff to develop future Directors of Nursing within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel throughout Ohio to support assigned skilled nursing facilities

  • Serve as Acting Director of Nursing when needed to ensure continuity of care and compliance

  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to nursing teams and emerging DONs

  • Assess clinical operations and implement improvements to ensure high-quality patient care

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

  • Collaborate with facility administrators and leadership teams to drive performance and outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio (required)

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility (required)

  • Strong leadership, training, and team development experience

  • Proven ability to manage clinical operations and regulatory compliance

  • Willingness and ability to travel statewide as needed

  • Ability to step into an active DON role on short notice
