ABOUT THE JOB

Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Fury Team (Columbus, Ohio)

Responsible for rapidly iterating and building defense hardware across the entire manufacturing value chain, including design for manufacturability, tool design, process creation, vendor sourcing, quality planning, and documentation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for specified product lines
  • Develop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural parts
  • Create process flows that break down complex assemblies into logical sub‑assemblies and sub‑processes
  • Write documentation required for scale: work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements, etc.
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers across disciplines (PCBA fab, metalworking, assembly) to establish repeatable processes for quick‑turn and at‑scale production
  • Build prototype hardware in close work with technicians and other engineers
  • Contribute to mechanical/electrical design, interconnects, board fabrication and inspection
  • Travel to suppliers to source parts, resolve ongoing production issues, and implement quality procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 10+ years manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in aerospace
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with tangible examples
  • Proficiency with CAD and production planning tools (ERP, MES, etc.)
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Hands‑on experience with R/C or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or related control systems
  • Experience with automation and robotics
  • Knowledge of composites and advanced manufacturing
COMPENSATION

Salary range: $126,000 – $167,000 USD (base only)
