Job description

Director of Business Development

About the job

We're Hiring: Director of Business Development

Location: Columbus, OH

Full-Time | Field Based

Base Salary + Commission + Vehicle Allowance

On Target Earnings Year 1: $205,000+ | Year 2: $255,000+

About the Role

We are looking for a high-performing, strategic sales leader to join our team as Director of Business Development. In this revenue-driving role, you’ll lead large and complex sales pursuits for on premise uniformed security services and integrated technology-based security services.

You’ll be responsible for cultivating relationships, nurturing and developing high-value opportunities, closing multimillion-dollar contracts, and building long-term partnerships with top-tier clients. If you're an established security services leader with a consultative mindset, this is your opportunity to step into a role with significant earning potential and career trajectory.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Sales Cycle: Manage all aspects of the sales processes for high-value security programs—from prospecting to closing 7-figure deals
  • Strategic Prospecting: Target and engage known service users, marquee facilities, and large organizations in market. (Fortune 1000, critical infrastructure, corporate campuses, commercial properties and more)
  • Solution Selling: Collaborate with Ops & Tech teams to design custom security solutions, combining manned guarding, surveillance tech, and advisory services
  • C-Suite Relationship Building: Establish trust with executive stakeholders; become their go-to security advisor
  • Drive Growth: Meet and exceed annual growth quotas while contributing to the overall sales strategy and market positioning
  • Collaborate & Lead: Partner with internal stakeholders to align proposals, refine strategy, and guide high-value opportunities to success
  • Build the Brand: Help shape our go-to-market strategy, proposal processes, and future market expansion

Who We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in security, technology, or service-based industries
  • Tech native requiring a best in class sales tech stack including HubSpot, ZoomInfo, support resources and related sales tools
  • Proven success closing multi-million-dollar deals in complex sales environments
  • Deep expertise in consultative, solution-based selling
  • Skilled communicator with “in-room presence” who can translate technical needs into business impact to influence outcomes
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; industry certifications a plus
  • Entrepreneurial drive with the discipline to own your pipeline and meet ambitious targets
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and traveling locally within your region

Compensation & Benefits:

We offer a competitive compensation package designed to incentivize results achieved. This includes a base salary commensurate with experience, a multi year commission structure, a first year earning accelerator program, and participation in the Summit Club Program. The uncapped recurring commission plan applies to all sales and is paid monthly. Over consecutive years commission compounds to create a sustained residual income stream. On average, hitting targets should put your On-Target Earnings (OTE) around $205,000 in the first year, with uncapped upside and strong residuals in subsequent years with Second Year OTE of $255k+. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and ongoing training/professional development opportunities.

Why This Role?

As a Director of Security Solutions, you’ll be empowered to build a territory like it’s your own business and contribute meaningfully to protecting people and property through innovative security programs.

If you are a high performing sales leader eager to translate your expertise into significant financial reward and advancement you will enjoy a best in class sales tech stack, and working large/complex deals with access to senior and executive support with autonomy and room to innovate through this phase of explosive growth.

This is a role where your results are only bounded by your ambition – and where success will be recognized both financially and in the trajectory of your career.
