Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for completing daily, weekly, monthly and periodic inventory control and record-keeping tasks for customers in the PowerHouse WMS system. Includes receiving put-aways, picking, restocking, production usage, shipping, cycle-counting and physical inventory. Coordinates other Inventory Control staff in day-to-day tasks. Interacts with multiple key customers as their point of contact.
POSITION DETAILS
• Daily verification of the Put-Away assignments for incoming materials by Material Handling staff.
• Daily Pre-Inspection of materials picked/restocked for a Production Kit Run, to ensure that all production materials have been accurately staged for production.
• Daily Post-Inspection of materials left over after a Production Kit Run is completed. This includes counting and weigh-counting of materials, creation of partial pallet identification labels, and creation of Pallet Put-Away assignments.
• Periodic verification of inventory item configurations and bills of material.
• Weekly and on-demand Cycle-counting of physical inventory stock, on both a location and a product basis and monthly summarization of inventory activity and accuracy by customer
• Research into why WMS inventory on-hand counts are incorrect, and what procedures are not occurring properly that causes these errors.
• Participate in planning and analysis activities to expand the Inventory Control function and its effectiveness within Vista.
• Other inventory control and record-keeping tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Inventory Control Manager.
• Forklift maneuvering and operation when needed
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma required
• 1 year forklift operation experience, preferred
• 1-3 years experience with Inventory Control activities and responsibilities preferred.
• Excellent communication skills via phone, email, and in person; correct verbiage, punctuation, and grammar. Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates, peers, superiors, and customers.
• Experience with 3PL WMS system preferred, including inventory activity transactions and reporting. Experience with QSSI PowerHouse WMS system is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office products, and Microsoft Outlook
