Job description

PharmcareUSA in West Chester, OH is seeking a Part Time Pharmacist Intern

PharmcareUSA is a growing, privately operated National LTC pharmacy provider operated by pharmacists.

Essential Functions:
  • Will train with Pharmacist with inputting (when appropriate), filling and dispensing of all prescriptions.
  • Will strive to perform all filling and / or IV compounding of prescriptions with accuracy and reasonable speed.
  • Filling of prescriptions per rules and regulations of all regulatory entities.
  • Assist callers when appropriate or enlist Pharmacist to assist if appropriate.
  • Prepare medications to be delivered to facility per delivery schedule.
  • Assist with ordering of medications from wholesaler along with proper inventory management
  • Assist with Medication Returns and E-Kit management.
  • Will comply with all Corporate Initiatives and utilize provided tools/resources as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

  • Comply with State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations at all times
  • Maintain required Continuing Education credits
  • Maintain current licensing by the state(s) in which he/she practices

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment up to 100% of the time;
  • Regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate effectively over the phone and in person;
  • Must be able to see 100% of the time to recognize medications, detect inaccuracies, and observe the work of others;
  • This position is very active and requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping;
  • Must be able to lift and/or transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds, up to 10% of the time;
  • Must be able to tolerate normal office/pharmacy environment and exposure to various medications
