We are looking for a hands-on IT Operations Specialist to help keep our critical technology systems running securely, reliably, and efficiently.  In this role, you will work across a broad technology environment that includes enterprise systems, ERP processing, system monitoring, backups, automation, telecommunications, IT asset management, and security operations. The position will play an important role in monitoring day-to-day technology operations, troubleshooting issues, improving system reliability, and You will work closely with the IT Manager, Automation and Operations Manager, and other members of the IT team to support business-critical systems and continuously improve how technology operations are delivered.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, learning different technologies, improving processes, and using tools such as PowerShell, Python, Power Automate, and system monitoring platforms to make IT operations more efficient.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
Work Environment: Full-time, in-office position.

What We're Looking For

 Experience & Education:

  • A minimum of 3 or more years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, network administration, technical support, or a similar technology role preferred;

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.

  • CompTIA A+ certification preferred;

  • CompTIA Security+ certification preferred;

 

Technical Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, including configuration, administration, troubleshooting, patching, and security;

  • Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, application, and system-related issues;

  • Experience or familiarity with PowerShell, Python, Power Automate, or similar scripting and automation technologies;

  • Knowledge of backup technologies and processes, including monitoring, testing, and validating successful backups and recovery readiness;

  • Familiarity with system monitoring and alerting tools and using monitoring information to identify and troubleshoot problems;

  • Familiarity with ERP systems, scheduled jobs, system workflows, or enterprise application processing;

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and the ability to recognize, investigate, document, and escalate potential security issues;

  • Familiarity with Windows environments is beneficial;

  • Experience with IT asset management, inventory control, or hardware lifecycle tracking is beneficial;

  • Knowledge of telecommunications or phone hardware is beneficial.

What You'll do
  • Monitor business-critical systems and workflows to ensure ERP processes, scheduled jobs, partner connections, and data integrations are running successfully and according to operational schedules;

  • Identify and troubleshoot technology issues across hardware, software, networks, applications, and system workflows, taking ownership of issues through resolution or coordinating escalation to the appropriate internal team or technology partner;

  • Use system monitoring tools to proactively identify issues before they impact the business and respond to alerts, incidents, and performance concerns;

  • Support incident response and root-cause analysis by investigating issues, documenting findings and resolutions, collaborating with other IT teams, and helping implement corrective actions that reduce the likelihood of future disruptions;

  • Support and improve automation initiatives by working with the Automation and Operations Manager to develop and deploy automated workflows using technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Power Automate, and other automation tools;

  • Look for opportunities to eliminate repetitive manual processes and improve the efficiency, reliability, and consistency of IT operations;

  • Support Windows environment, including system configuration, troubleshooting, patching, updates, access controls, and general operational support;

  • Execute, monitor, and test enterprise backup processes to help ensure critical information remains protected, recoverable, and available when needed;

  • Support security operations by providing initial investigation and response to security-related alerts or issues, protecting sensitive information, and escalating potential incidents when appropriate;

  • Protect sensitive organizational data, including PHI and Social Security information, in accordance with organizational policies, privacy requirements, and security standards;

  • Manage IT hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle, including receiving equipment, maintaining inventory records, conducting physical inventory counts, tracking assignments, and supporting budget and asset-management documentation;

  • Support telecommunications systems and equipment, including phone hardware installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting;

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, troubleshooting guides, operational documentation, and standard operating procedures;

  • Collaborate across IT teams and with third-party technology partners to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, strengthen system reliability, and support new technology initiatives;

  • Perform other duties and technology-related responsibilities as assigned. 

Starting pay rate: $26.12 per hour
