Job description

Printer Helper – 3rd Shift (11 PM – 7 AM)
Pay Range: $20.32 – $23.90 per hour
Location: Franklin, OH.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Printer Helper to join our 3rd shift operations. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in supporting press operations, preparing materials, mounting plates, mixing ink, cleaning components, and assisting the Press Operator and Shift Lead to ensure efficient production and top-quality printing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Shift Lead and Press Operator with press setup and daily operations
  • Stage all materials, rolls, and ink required for job orders
  • Inspect, clean, and handle plates, sleeves, mandrels, and anilox rolls
  • Mount plates using work orders, job jackets, print cards, and Mylar
  • Maintain organized plate storage and perform plate maintenance
  • Mix and dispense ink per specifications and monitor pH/viscosity
  • Replace ink totes/drums and complete necessary documentation
  • Operate Flexo-Wash anilox cleaning unit and safely handle cleaning chemicals
  • Review end-of-roll samples for quality and report issues promptly
  • Unload, wrap, band, label, and store finished rolls; cut cores as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Team-oriented with a positive, “can-do” attitude
  • Basic mechanical and math skills; able to pass print/math test
  • Ability to work in hot environments and around inks/lubricants
  • Physical capability for prolonged standing, movement, and equipment handling
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and move up to 550 lbs. using approved equipment
  • Capable of loading/unloading sleeves, including two-person lifts
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand English
  • Flexible schedule, including potential overtime, weekends, or call-ins as required
