Job description

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is looking to hire a Help Desk Agent in Columbus, OH.


Pay Rate Range: $21–$24/hour W2, depending on experience


Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and applications.
  • Handle incoming calls related to customer inquiries and account support.
  • Provide accurate and efficient service while meeting established performance metrics and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Deliver a positive customer experience by effectively resolving technical and account-related issues.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
  • Identify recurring issues and escalate complex technical concerns to the appropriate support team.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines when troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.


Requirements:

  • 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience; internships may be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Relevant experience or internship in IT support or customer service.
  • Previous contact center or help desk experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to meet established performance metrics and SLAs.
  • Contract duration of 6–12 months with potential for full-time conversion based on performance and position availability.
