POSITION OVERVIEW
OBR Companies is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Intern for Summer 2026 to support lead research, business development efforts, CRM organization, and marketing operations. This internship is ideal for a student interested in marketing, business development, sales support, market research, or commercial operations who wants hands-on experience inside a growing industrial business.
This role will work from our office in Grandview Heights, Ohio and will support real projects tied to pipeline growth, customer engagement, lead follow-up, and marketing execution. The intern will gain exposure to how marketing, business development, and sales work together to identify opportunities, organize data, improve communication, and support revenue growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research inbound leads and target accounts using ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Google Search, Google Maps, company websites, and related tools.
• Help identify and qualify companies that may be a fit for OBR's services based on industry, facility type, geography, and likely need.
• Support follow-up efforts for inbound leads, website visitors, existing customers, and prospect lists generated through marketing and business development programs.
• Assist with outreach preparation by gathering contact details, company background, facility insights, and relevant messaging points.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate records in Dynamics CRM and HubSpot.
• Help improve CRM visibility by keeping contact, company, lead, and activity data organized and current.
• Support list building and segmentation for outreach and marketing campaigns.
• Help identify companies that have interacted with OBR through website activity, prior purchases, quote requests, campaign engagement, or other touchpoints.
• Use AI tools to help improve customer communication, email messaging, follow-up notes, and outreach drafts.
• Assist with campaign support, light reporting, and administrative marketing tasks as needed.
• Work with the marketing and business development teams on special projects related to growth initiatives and customer targeting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, business, communications, sales, analytics, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
