Job description

The Social Media Manager, Influencer leads strategic influencer and social media programs for key agency accounts, driving measurable impact through integrated, insight-driven campaigns. This individual serves as a senior counselor to clients and internal teams, overseeing multiple influencer and social programs while ensuring strategic alignment, creative excellence, and flawless execution.
This role partners closely with the social media team and account leadership to identify growth opportunities, elevate program performance, and strengthen the agency's influencer and social capabilities. The Social Media Manager, Influencer, plays a critical role in advancing innovation while mentoring team members and contributing to new business development.
Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Leads the development and execution of integrated influencer and social media strategies aligned with overarching client objectives and business goals.
  • Provides senior counsel to clients on influencer partnerships, creator ecosystems, content strategy, paid amplification considerations, measurement frameworks, and compliance best practices.
  • Oversees multiple influencer and social programs simultaneously, ensuring strategic integrity, quality deliverables, and on-time execution.
  • Identifies and cultivates influencer partnerships that authentically align with brand values, audience behaviors, and campaign objectives.
  • Ensures all influencer programming complies with FTC disclosure guidelines and platform requirements.
  • Collaborates across PR, paid media, creative, and analytics teams to align influencer and social strategies with fully integrated communications plans.
  • Leverages data and performance insights to optimize programs and recommend strategic pivots that improve results.
  • Identifies organic growth opportunities within existing accounts and supports expansion conversations with account leadership.
  • Supports new business efforts through strategic input, influencer landscape analysis, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Mentors and manages junior team members, providing direction, feedback, and professional development support.
  • Contributes to the evolution and improvement of the agency's social and influencer practices by identifying process enhancements, emerging trends, and innovative approaches.
  • Maintains a strong pulse on platform shifts, creator economy trends, and evolving best practices in influencer marketing.

Qualifications, experience, and education:
  • 12-15 years of professional experience in social media and influencer strategy, preferably within an agency or integrated marketing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-channel influencer and social programs with measurable business impact.
  • Strong client presence and proven ability to provide senior-level counsel to marketing and communications leaders.
  • Experience overseeing multiple accounts and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track record of identifying and driving account growth opportunities.
  • Experience managing and mentoring team members; direct supervisory experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of influencer identification, vetting, negotiation, contracting, and performance measurement.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms, influencer tools, analytics platforms, and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with confidence in client-facing environments and new business settings.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
