(Hospital & Clinics/Facilities/Maintenance)

We’re partnering with a community-based hospital (-200 beds) to identify a hands-on facilities leader who can bring structure, responsiveness, and reliability to a dynamic healthcare environment.

This is a highly visible role responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and performance of the hospital and affiliated clinics—while building strong partnerships with clinical and operational leaders across the organization.

The right leader will combine technical expertise with practical problem-solving, and bring a proactive approach to maintaining and improving the environment of care.

 Responsible for:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership across facilities functions including maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and grounds
  • Drive a well-organized and effective preventative maintenance program, while improving response times and work order completion
  • Balance urgent facility needs with longer-term infrastructure planning and priorities
  • Oversee vendor and contractor performance to ensure quality, timeliness, and accountability
  • Partner with hospital leadership on capital planning, budgeting, and operational improvements
  • Maintain readiness and compliance with Life Safety and Environment of Care standards
  • Serve as a key point of coordination during facility-related emergencies or system disruptions

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading facilities or plant operations in a hospital environment
  • 3 years leadership experience/supervisory experience
  • 5 years’ experience in hospital facilities/plant ops/maintenance capacity
  • Associate’s Degree in facilities management or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance expectations (NFPA, Life Safety Code, accreditation standards)
  • Ability to bring organization and prioritization to a fast-moving, service-oriented environment
  • Experience managing external vendors and service partners
  • Comfort operating with both technical detail and big-picture accountability

Leadership Style

  • Visible and approachable—someone who leads from the front and supports their team
  • Organized and decisive when managing competing priorities
  • Service-oriented, with a mindset of supporting clinical teams and patient care environments
  • Clear communicator who builds trust across departments
  • Practical and solutions-focused, especially in time-sensitive situations

Don’t miss this great opportunity and what it offers!

  • Opportunity to step into a visible leadership role with direct impact on daily hospital operations
  • Supportive leadership team with a focus on collaboration
