Business Systems Analyst Hybrid

Diversified Systems is searching for a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) who serves as a strategic liaison between IT and business units, facilitating the identification and implementation of technology-driven solutions to business challenges. This role combines business analysis and project coordination responsibilities, including gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing existing systems and workflows, and recommending improvements. The BSA ensures solutions are well-documented and aligned with business goals, while also driving project execution through Agile methodologies, including Scrum facilitation and sprint planning.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze user requirements, business processes, procedures, and problems to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document functional and technical requirements using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and system manuals.
  • Train users on new or upgraded systems and procedures, ensuring adoption and proficiency.
  • Organize and facilitate sprints, including all necessary meetings to keep project momentum and remove blockers.
  • Build and maintain processes and procedures required for compliance and audits.
  • Improve training and operational procedures within a business to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Work directly with clients to understand the individual needs of the business.
  • Use data visualization tools like Power BI to analyze data and support business decisions.
  • Oversee business projects from beginning to completion.
  • Examine current and new business procedures and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Create specifications for new projects by developing project goals, phases, and budgets.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops across multiple business units.
  • Document current-state usage and pain points.
  • Identify functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Capture compliance, call recording, and retention considerations.
  • Produce a consolidated requirements document and gap analysis to support vendor evaluation.
  • Work comfortably across business and technical teams and synthesize diverse needs into clear requirements.
  • Data center transition.
  • Engage business users currently leveraging the file server.
  • Document current-state workflows and dependencies.
  • Identify critical business processes, shared drives, and data flows.
  • Surface risks and business continuity concerns.
  • Define future-state requirements and transition needs.
  • Perform process mapping and ensure no operational disruption during migration.
  • Experience with infrastructure or data migration initiatives is beneficial.
  • Identity access management (IAM).
  • Work with application owners and business leads to identify current roles and permissions.
  • Document access models and entitlement structures.
  • Rationalize and standardize role definitions.
  • Map roles to JML workflows.
  • Support control documentation aligned with audit and compliance expectation.
Requirements
  • 7+ years Business Analysis experience.
  • Experience in IAM, access governance, or working in regulated environments highly valuable.
  • Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated environments.
  • Comfortable documenting requirements, process flows, and control considerations.
  • Self-directed and able to manage multiple workstreams. Project coordinating abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and pivot to different initiatives and possess great charisma communicating with the business.
