Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a specialized focus on Learning and Development (L&D) to join our team. This role will support core HR functions while serving as the primary driver for creating, implementing, and administering effective training programs across all levels of the organization, with a strong emphasis on operational roles.
Our HR Generalists work onsite fulltime from our Columbus, OH headquarters.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, facilitator guides, and digital content, covering topics such as safety, HR policies & procedures, leadership skills, systems training, and operational best practices
  • Maximize the learning platform's (Workday) functionality for course deployment, user management, progress tracking, reporting, and maintenance of all training records
  • Partner with Operations leadership and Safety to develop, document, and standardize robust on-the-job (OJT) programs. Ensure OJT materials are practical, measurable, and aligned with operational goals
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and management on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues
  • Proactively identify and integrate AI-enhanced solutions into daily HR operations to modernize the employee experience and optimize internal procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, process HR-related paperwork, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Assist in the communication and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency across the organization

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of dedicated experience in an L&D role, focused on content creation and delivery
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, HRBP, or similar role
  • Demonstrated experience developing practical, high-quality training content for non-exempt, hands-on manufacturing or warehouse personnel
  • Proven proficiency using Articulate Storyline, Rise, or similar authoring tools to create and curate SCORM-compliant e-learning courses
  • Expert-level proficiency in managing and maximizing a modern LMS platform. Workday Learning experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with team members at all levels, from the production floor to senior leadership
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
