Job Description Summary:

Responsible for supporting the continuity of care for Injury care patients. Assists OHES providers by ensuring state and federal injury forms are completed and submitted in a timely manner. Works with BWC MCO/TPAs to obtain timely approved diagnoses or allowances. Responsible for patient referrals and tracking to achieve effective and prompt medical treatment planning. Coordinates with external case managers to insure timely management of the work injury case. May also be cross trained for coverage of other clinic responsibilities as necessary for the daily provision of services including but not limited to official specialist responsibilities and substance testing coverage upon training as appropriate. Possible travel as needed.

Responsibilities And Duties:

70% Responsible for claims processing, submission of paperwork for approval, tracking, collaboration with provider(s) and scheduling of appointments.
20% Communicates with patients, employer BWC, MCO/TPA, for case continuity.
10% Performs other administrative and clinic responsibilities as required.
As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School or GED (Required)

Additional Job Description:

BWC claim process, paperwork and/or medical office experience a plus.
