Job description

Our Organization
The Freedom Center, a non-profit community behavioral health center, has been providing quality behavioral healthcare to adults and adolescents for more than 45 years and seeks to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals living with mental health issues and substance use disorders. We offer our staff an environment where ideas and contributions are recognized and valued. Our team members are provided a range of growth opportunities, comprehensive benefits, career resources, celebratory acknowledgments and the chance to give back to the population we serve.
Role Overview
The Program Supervisor leads and coordinates a multidisciplinary, community-based team providing integrated treatment to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This role exists to ensure consistent, recovery-oriented, person-centered services that meet fidelity standards and support strong outcomes.
Key responsibilities include providing administrative and clinical supervision; hiring, onboarding, coaching, and supporting staff development; running structured team meetings for communication, case coordination, and collaborative treatment planning; ensuring use of evidence-based practices and model standards; assisting staff in addressing client needs tied to recovery, housing stability, and community integration; strengthening team communication and resolving conflict; and tracking program results to drive continuous quality improvement.
Required qualifications/skills:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health field
- Ohio licensure preferred (LISW, LPCC, or equivalent)
- Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Supervisory/team leadership experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
If you're ready to guide a team delivering high-quality care, apply today.
A Typical Day
You'll start onsite by reviewing schedules, coverage, and any urgent client updates, then connect briefly with team members to confirm priorities. Midday often includes a focused case review and a structured team huddle to align on treatment planning and documentation expectations. You'll spend time consulting with staff on clinical questions, supporting timely follow-through with community partners, and checking key performance measures. Later, you'll address escalations calmly, document supervisory notes, and close out the day by preparing for upcoming staffing needs and quality-improvement follow-ups.
Benefits Package
This full-time role includes Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, plus a 401(k). You'll also have Life Insurance and a Health Savings Account (HSA) option. Paid Time Off is provided to support rest and planned time away.
