Job description

Karr, Sherman, and Magnone Co., LPA is seeking an Associate Attorney. The position is a hybrid position based in Columbus, OH, with a combination of in-office and work-from-home responsibilities. The Associate Attorney will handle legal research, draft memoranda, pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents, and assist in case strategy development. Daily tasks include providing legal advice under supervision, preparing for and participating in negotiations, and supporting client meetings and communications. The role mostly will involve personal injury matters, but other general law practice work, and coordination with senior attorneys on case management, deadlines, and filings will be required. The Associate Attorney is expected to maintain accurate records, adhere to ethical and professional standards, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.


Qualifications

  • General foundation in Law, with the ability to analyze statutes, case law, and regulations.
  • Ability to provide sound Legal Advice under appropriate supervision and within professional ethical standards.
  • Excellent Research skills, including legal research tools and drafting clear, concise written analyses.
  • Effective Negotiation skills, with the ability to represent client interests and work toward practical resolutions.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Ohio bar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • Comfort with hybrid work, including reliability in managing tasks both in-office and remotely.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory client service.
