Job description

Entry Level Automotive Techs Needed! 1st Shift Mon-Thursday up to $20/hr!! 10+ Hours of OT Available!!

Love working on cars in your garage? Turn that mechanical hobby into a career. we are looking for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with tools, installing components, and figuring out how things go together. If you've spent time doing brakes, suspension work, body panels, accessories, wiring, or general vehicle repairs, we'd love to talk with you—even if your experience isn't from a professional shop.

Job Description

This role focuses on installing and assembling truck bodies, truck equipment, and truck accessories on custom vehicles in a shop/garage environment. You will use a variety of hand and power tools, follow internal software-guided work orders, and complete most tasks independently while occasionally collaborating with small teams.

Responsibilities

  • Install and assemble truck bodies, truck equipment, and truck accessories on custom vehicles according to specifications.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete installations.
  • Follow internal software programs and digital work orders to plan, track, and document all installs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fitment.
  • Operate cranes and perform rigging to move, position, and secure larger parts and assemblies.
  • Work primarily independently while coordinating with small teams on each build as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all shop safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job status and any issues that arise.
  • Demonstrate punctuality, follow directions, and proactively identify and complete tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Previous hands-on experience working on cars in a garage or body shop setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Comfort using computers and internal software to follow work orders and document work.
  • Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools used in automotive and equipment installation.
  • Basic understanding of automotive systems and components related to truck bodies and accessories.
  • Strong soft skills including punctuality, ability to take direction, and being a self-starter.
  • Ability to operate cranes and perform basic rigging for larger parts, or a strong aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform some heavy lifting in a shop environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • MIG or TIG welding experience is a plus.
  • Crane operating experience is a plus.
  • Rigging experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience reading and working from work orders or build sheets.
  • Ecxperience in automotive customization, truck upfitting, or related mechanical work is beneficial.

Why Work Here?

You will join a hands-on, team-oriented environment where you can apply and grow your mechanical and automotive skills on unique custom vehicle builds. The shop fosters collaboration in small teams while still allowing you to work independently and take ownership of your projects. You can expand your capabilities in areas such as crane operation, rigging, and welding, and gain experience with internal software and blueprint reading. The consistent first-shift schedule supports work-life balance and provides a predictable routine.

Work Environment

You will work in a large shop/garage setting that is clean and organized but not always climate controlled. Work is performed primarily on your feet, with some heavy lifting and physical activity throughout the day. You will typically work in small teams on each build while handling many tasks independently. The role follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Standard shop attire appropriate for a garage environment is expected, including clothing and footwear suitable for working with tools, equipment, and vehicle components.
