Job description

Komar Industries is seeking Entry Level to Senior Field Service Technicians/Installers to install and service Auger compactors, shredders, balers, ram compactors, and industrial equipment. The primary job functions of this position will be to install, diagnose, repair, perform maintenance and ensure units are fully operational and exceed customer expectations.

  • Pay Range: $24.00 - $40.00+ (based on experience and skill set)
  • Higher Pay When Traveling (1.25 x base rate = 25% increase in pay when traveling)

Field Service Technician Requirements

Must Have:

  • A good attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Must be willing to travel out of town with overnight stays. (Typical travel is leave out Monday and back by Friday if not sooner, depending on the task.)
  • Pass a DOT Physical
  • Good driving record
  • Neat in appearance
  • Must be willing to work overtime as necessary based on company needs.
  • On-call required once qualified (2 weeks every 5 months/per rotation).
  • Should be able to work independently with little/no supervision.
  • Ability to lift-up to 70 lbs.

Preferred skill sets (not required):

  • Hydraulics repair and knowledge a plus
  • Welding (MIG, Stick) experience
  • Prior experience with PLC
  • Electrical controls background
