Officer Procurement Program Coordinator

Job Description

Duties

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on policies and procedures related to officer applications, orders, data input, and the processing, retention, and commissioning of officer applicants.
  • Coordinate and administer the Officer Procurement Programs within the Marine Corps District Area of Operation.
  • Be responsible for the training and development of recruiting personnel, ensuring adherence to administrative procedures, program functionality, and quality control of officer applications.
  • Ensure officer candidate data, databases, files, and historical statistics are maintained; prepare orders for summer training; and process Officer Candidate School drop reports.
  • Prepare correspondence, lists, vouchers, reports, email correspondence, and memoranda in accordance with established Navy and Marine Corps manuals and ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Provide analytical data and analysis to evaluate program performance and quality control measures.

Requirements Conditions of employment

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing administrative and clerical support duties, including processing applicant packages, administering background screenings, reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness, managing administrative workflows, drafting written correspondence, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and using office automation tools.
