What You'll Do

The Emergency Department (ED) Technician provides basic care for patients across the lifespan within the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include direct patient care, assisting with procedures, clerical duties, and supply maintenance. The technician works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and the indirect supervision of the Clinical Manager/Supervisor. The role requires professionalism, accuracy, and the ability to perform in a high-stress, fast-paced environment while supporting optimal patient care. 

Minimum Qualifications Required Educational Degree: High School Diploma or GED 

Required Certifications:  ESI Course within 90 days of hire; Basic Telemetry within 90 days 

Education: EMT-Basic coursework (or completion within 1 year of hire) or active enrollment in an accredited nursing program

Experience required:  PCA (Patient Care Associate)/EMT, or  enrolled in nursing school.
