Job Description
Our Engineering Coordinator supports our Design Engineer and Store Concept & Design team. This person will support various project types within our function across new stores, remodels, refreshes, and special projects. This person's primary focus is on verifying and managing MEP systems, ensuring they are designed in compliance with our design guidelines and coordinated within our construction documents. This person must possess strong communication skills, project management skills, and be willing to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment and collaborate well with others.
This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.
What Will You Be Doing?
  • Review tenant criteria manuals for MEP requirements
  • Collaborate with Designers & Design Engineer to review site surveys and existing tenant drawings
  • Work with cross functional partners to ensure MEP drawings are clear, efficient and constructible
  • Support Designers and Design Engineer in communication with 3rd party Architectural & Engineering consultants and HVAC Commissioning Vendors
  • Coordinate with HVAC vendors to specify equipment and review submittals
  • Coordinate with controls vendors to design control systems and review shop drawings
  • Provide technical support during construction on RFIs and during HVAC commissioning and startup
  • Help maintain MEP Design Standards, Master Construction Documents, and MEP processes. Continually evaluates processes and ways to find efficiency
  • Support store design project workflow by meeting project deadlines
  • Work cross functionally with multiple project stakeholders including Store Design, Construction, Real Estate, Procurement, and Maintenance

What Do You Need To Bring?
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related experience
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC and controls systems
  • Basic knowledge of electrical distribution systems
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing components
  • Basic knowledge of construction drawings
  • Must be able to multitask and work on several projects at once, all in various stages of the design/construction process
  • Desire to learn about and work across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Collaborative team player
  • Familiar with AutoCAD
