Job Title:Research Technician 4Department:Nursing | Pitzer Center

The Research Technician will serve as the study's lead research specialist to ensure successful data collection aligned with grant protocol. As such the research technician will be responsible for overseeing and executing complex recruitment and data collection tasks with a unique population of family dyads (women engaged in specialty court treatment court programs and their supportive family members). This position will be responsible for ensuring data integrity and strict adherence to study protocols within data collection and recruitment, overseeing the data collection efforts of other study staff, and independently resolving challenges to ensure recruitment schedules are upheld and follow up study visit rates remain above the outlined threshold in the protocol. The Research Technician will coordinate other members of the research team to schedule data collection and study intervention visits (if applicable). Specifically, they will coordinate and oversee scheduling across participants and provide direction and guidance to other study staff (students, RAs, etc.) and act as a central point of contact for the full study team in all matters recruitment and data collection. Data collection may occur in variety of locations including a local drop-in center, county court office space, libraries, treatment facilities, and other locations where participants may have easy access. The position will involve local travel, and field-based data collection, as well as transporting participants to local sites for data collection. The Research Technician position also includes tracking participants involved in the research project via email, phone, home visits, text and social media, and maintaining a contact database for the purpose of conducting follow-up assessments. The research technician will be responsible for independently resolving challenges with participant relocation and reengagement and serve as a key resource to the study team in successfully re-engaging participants. The Research Technician will participate in regular team meetings and collaborate in data analysis and dissemination through oral/poster conference presentation and written publications.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. 1 year of relevant experience required.

Additional Information:

The position will require flexibility in the work schedule as well as local travel. This position is term with a potential end date of January 2028. This position requires use of personal vehicle, clean drivers record and insurance and the successful completion of a background check.

In the event of a funding shortfall, the Ohio State Graduate School reserves the right to rescind this offer of financial support. Furthermore, multi-year offers are contingent upon the continued availability of funds.
