About the role 

The Procurement Specialist will support sourcing, vendor management, purchasing operations, contract administration, and procurement process improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize supplier relationships, drive cost savings, mitigate risk, and support enterprise procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Location: This position is located at our Dublin, OH campus with hybrid flexibility.

What you’ll do (Essential Responsibilities)

  • Manage the procurement lifecycle including sourcing, vendor evaluation, negotiations, purchasing, contract support, and supplier management.
  • Lead and support RFI, RFQ, and RFP initiatives for assigned categories and business units.
  • Collaboratively build and refine scalable procurement processes and policies aligned with corporate strategy and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct strategic sourcing activities to identify cost savings opportunities, supplier optimization strategies, and operational efficiencies.
  • Analyze current purchase data, vendor spend, market trends, and benchmarking information to support procurement recommendations and sourcing strategies.
  • Perform total cost of ownership analysis, spend analysis, and vendor pricing evaluations.
  • Review supplier proposals, contracts, MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, amendments, and related procurement documentation.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Finance, HR, IT, Information Security, and business leaders regarding contract terms, pricing, vendor risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Support negotiation activities with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, contract terms, and service commitments.
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and recommend renewals, renegotiations, terminations, and new sourcing opportunities.
  • Utilize procurement and sourcing systems, including Workday or similar ERP/eProcurement platforms, to manage purchasing workflows, approvals, and reporting.
  • Develop procurement reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership review.
  • Support procurement training and communication initiatives for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across procurement operations and strategic sourcing activities.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring (Qualifications)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of related experience in procurement, purchasing, and/or strategic sourcing required.
  • Experience using strategic sourcing software and procurement systems required.
  • Experience with indirect procurement categories, including facility operations, professional services, human resources, marketing and operational services preferred.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience analyzing vendor spend, pricing models, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, contract administration, and sourcing methodologies.
  • Experience reviewing contracts, terms and conditions, SLAs, and procurement-related documentation.
  • Ability to think strategically, influence stakeholders, and support organizational change initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and external vendor partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hybrid work environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Experience with Workday Procurement and/or Workday Strategic Sourcing preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise procurement transformation or process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with supplier risk management, IT security considerations, and procurement compliance practices.
  • A high degree of personal accountability and trustworthiness, a commitment to working within Quantum Health’s policies, values and ethics, and to protecting the sensitive data entrusted to us.
