  • Investigate existing workflows and IT processes to help identify opportunities for improved efficiency and system performance.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and support for infrastructure-related issues in collaboration with IT staff.
  • Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation for infrastructure systems, procedures, and configurations.
  • Assist with monitoring system performance and identifying potential security or operational risks.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud systems.
  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewall technologies.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with PowerShell or similar scripting languages for automation preferred.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST 800-171 or similar regulatory standards preferred.
  • Experience with Azure/Firewall technical stack (Fortinet, Cisco, SonicWall) preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments through coursework, labs, or prior internships preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, self-starter mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex technical procedures.
  • Ability to work onsite 20 hours per week to start, then 40 hours per week for the summer, with flexibility to accommodate school schedule.
