Job description

EMH&T is currently seeking a CAD Technician to join our Survey team located in Columbus, OH.

As the Survey Technician, you’ll gain hands-on experience in surveying and foundational mapping skills while working under the guidance of an experience surveyor; you’ll be responsible for processing field survey data and producing accurate, high-quality survey drawings and maps; you will utilize computer aided drafting (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) software to create technical drawings for topographical and boundary surveys; and you’ll work closely with field crews, project managers, and engineers to ensure deliverables meet project and client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out a variety of drafting assignments using independent judgment and initiative.
  • Prepares layouts, drawings and designs according to engineering specifications using CAD software.
  • Retrieves information from files, edits, produces hardcopies and updates drawings/designs.
  • Reviews engineering drawings and documentation, resolves undefined details.

  • Experience as a surveying technician is preferred.
