Job Description:
Position Summary:
We are seeking a BIM / CAD Specialist to join our team in our Westerville office. This role is responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating accurate BIM models and detailed drawings using established mechanical and engineering drafting methods. The initial focus will be on process piping, with opportunities to expand into additional industrial projects. This position works closely with multidisciplinary project teams to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain complete and accurate BIM models based on sketches, specifications, and contract documents provided by project coordinators

  • Prepare detailed installation drawings and bill of materials from the BIM models using approved drafting standards.

  • Review, manage, and manipulate electronic design files

  • Update models and drawings to reflect as-built conditions

  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical disciplines to integrate project features into unified BIM models

  • Interface with project team members to understand and implement project requirements

  • Support ongoing project coordination and constructability efforts through effective modeling practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with BIM platforms including Revit and Navisworks

  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D and/or Civil 3D

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Understanding of pipe systems, mechanical layouts, and industrial construction processes

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications

  • Strong experience with 3D modeling workflows in a construction or industrial environment

Soft Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
